About

One wa-modern room

A coffered ceiling, a round latticed window, olive sofas. Quiet accents on a Japanese frame.

A woven sconce raking warm light across a rust-brown wood art panel on a plaster wall, smoke crossing the beam

Light, smoke, depth.

Light spills through a wooden lattice set into a coffered ceiling. Olive sofas line a room of wood and plaster; a round latticed window glows softly from within. A small brass lamp lays down shadows, and smoke lifts from a shisha on a glass base. A wa-modern room, and quiet time around a bowl. This is W Sheeshark's first location in Japan; the original house is in Shanghai. Staff speak Mandarin, Shanghainese, Cantonese and English. The venue calls itself a lounge, a restaurant and a bar; shisha, drinks and pricing are as listed on the menu. No one under twenty.
